Just because a website has lots of fancy stuff on it, doesn’t mean it will actually sell your service.  In fact it normally won’t, all that glitz gets in the way of the message you are trying to get across.

It’s like those memorable adverts on TV.  You know the ones, they look absolutely fantastic and artistic, but you can never remember what they are for.

There are two main elements to a good strong selling website:

1.Web Page Design
With page design we are concerned with how the individual page is designed. A well-designed page will help to sell your services.
It should let your visitor know they are in the right place.
It should provide a clear and concise call to action (a close in sales terms).
Its content should be concise and engaging.
It should say its message firmly and clearly.

2. Web Site Design
The design of the site structure is sadly overlooked by most designers. They seem to go back to the old favourites of home, about us, our services etc.. Doesn’t really help prospective clients make that decision, does it?

A well designed website is there to take your visitors through their buying cycle, from understanding their problem through to appreciating your solution.

Few people will actually go to the internet looking for your service.  They will, however, go on the internet to look for the solution to their problem.  If your website doesn’t take them from their problem through to your solution, then it isn’t selling your service effectively.
